Can a pet door be installed in an existing glass door?
Yes. Ruby Glass specialises in cutting pet door openings into existing glass panels. We replace the panel with a new toughened glass piece with the pet flap already fitted - no need to change your entire door.
What size pet door do I need for my dog?
The right size depends on your dog's shoulder height and width. As a guide: small flaps suit dogs up to 7kg, medium up to 15kg, large up to 30kg, and extra-large for bigger breeds. We'll confirm the right size when we quote.
Is a glass panel with a pet door still safe and secure?
Yes. We use toughened safety glass for all pet door installations. The panel is just as strong as your original glass and the pet flap can be locked when not in use.
How long does a pet door installation take?
Most installations are completed in a single visit. We remove the old panel, fit the new one, and leave the site clean.
Do you also do pet doors for cats?
